Why does the sound from my MP3 player thru my FM Transmitter sound “dead” on the radio?
| Question by azheelshock: Why does the sound from my MP3 player thru my FM Transmitter sound “dead” on the radio? When I use my iRiver MP3 player in the car thru my FM transmitter, the sound ends up sounding like it is on an AM station. The highs are really cut out, and the lows end up distorted. I’ve tried the EQ settings on both the iRiver and the car stereo, but it still sounds horrible. Is this something that anyone else has dealt with and fixed? Best answer: Answer by not 2 sarcastic You could also have it broadcasting on the wrong frequency on your radio receiver. Usually most FM transmitters give you a choice of stations to use to broadcast. Some work better than others depending on the city you live in. So far all i can find are standard portable AM/FM radio with speakers built-in or standalone MP3 players with no speakers. See I’m a bus driver, i already have a portable AM/FM radio that do the work fine. However i’d like to be able to listen to my favorite MP3 and for that i need a radio&mp3 player with speaker built-in. You cannot drive and wear ear plugs. So far i haven’t found anything like that. It’s like adding MP3 capability to a portable AM/FM radio with built-in speakers something impossible to do. What i need is something small and easy to carry around.
